It is her mission to give this profession more visibility in the world, to create a community for yoga therapists and to create a bridge between yoga therapists and the medical world. Her greatest passions (besides yoga) are traveling, good food and helping people to reconnect with themselves.
Violet Borneman

Violet studied at TU Delft and obtained her master’s degree in life science and technology. Currently, Violet is both teacher/coach and senior student at the yoga therapy institute. Her passion is to help clients to find their strength within and provide additional support where traditional medical attention fails.
Vijay-Jain MD
Ayurveda and western medicine
Dr. Vijay Jain MD practiced surgery successfully for almost 40 years in the Cincinnati/ Kentucky area. In 1998 Dr. Jain started integrating Ayurveda with Western medicine and in addition teaches on behalf of International University of Yoga and Ayurveda which he co-founded in 2013. He specializes in Ayurvedic Detoxification therapies and tissue tonifying therapies for chronic lifestyle diseases and graceful ageing.
Esther van der Sande
Trauma Specialist
Esther is Counsellor and somatic psychotherapist and had Years of practise in talk-therapy in her own practice in Australia. One day she noticed that some people were having issues in finding a connection with their body. Now she is a Faculty member at the center for trauma and Embodiment and Trainer and supervisor of Trauma Sensitive Yoga.
Chantal-Ben-David

Chantal started her yoga journey about twenty years ago. In 2005 she completed a three-year hatha yoga teacher training at Saswitha. Since then she has studied different styles of yoga and in 2013 Chantal did a teacher training II with Anat Geiger, an in-depth study of vinyasa flow yoga. She also regularly attends various workshops on flow, movement and breath. Now she is a student at The Yoga Therapy Institute and writes about her journey as a student during these interesting times.
Nicole van Kempen

Nicole is a Holistic Health Coach, Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist in training. She combines the sistersciences Yoga & Ayurveda to teach students and clients to listen to the language of their body. With her company BY VEDA she offers (online) yoga classes, food-and lifestyle consultations, workshops and retreats in which she shares practical tips and tools to live more ‘in tune’ with the cycles of nature. Evonne Drakousis
Counsellor & Senior student
Evonne started as an English Literature teacher in Chicago, but realized she was more drawn to social and emotional wellbeing and got her Master’s degree in Counselling. After years of counselling in the States, she answered a call to an unexpected adventure, which involved practicing at Discovery College in Hong Kong. In 2018, she completed her yoga teacher training at the Sivananda Ashram in France and have since completed various other training. in 2021 she will be finishing her studies as a Yoga Therapist.
Anca Amariei

Anca Amariei is a certified yoga teacher and a senior student at the Yoga Therapy Institute. In addition she is also a breath coach and specialized in trauma sensitive yoga, Mental Health First Aid and Neuro Mindfulness. She is currently holding on- and offline group classes and private sessions and hosts personal development workshops and wellbeing retreats in and outside Romania. She has over 13 years of experience in consumer and corporate communications
Britta Dezillie
Administration & Senior student
Britta holds a Phd in Physics, specialised in Medical Applications and active at CERN. In 2014, she started the project Wellbeing at Work at several large global organisations. As a Health Coach, she combines Yoga Therapy, Pilates, Trigger Therapy and massages with the knowledge and practice she got over several years in China, the USA and especially in New Zealand. Her passions are traveling, gardening, giving workshops on wellbeing and Ayurvedic cooking classes.
