Having a cup of tea with – Marleen Janssen
Marleen is someone who always puts the client first and walks on the sidelines of his or her situation. With her gentleness, knowledge and strategic approach she can help clients to get a better connection with themselves. After having participated in the rat race in the advertising world for years, it was time to choose for herself. She did this by gaining a lot of experience and following various teacher trainings. Like many other yoga practitioners, her interest was initially aroused by the spicy yoga style Ashtanga. She still thinks these yogastyles are fantastic, but she also knows that it is not always suitable for everyone. In addition, her greatest passion is to help clients individually in order to achieve better results.
In our conversation Marleen talks about The Guesthouse, a poem bij Jalaluddin Rumi
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
Jalaluddin Rumi
